Framing and Roofing Features

At Capstone Custom Homes, we take pride in including a wide range of features as standard items on our custom builds. This extends to our framing and roofing systems, ensuring that your new home will be sturdy and attractive.

Standard Framing Features

Framing is the skeleton of the house, giving it shape and strength. To get the best results possible, we use stick-built on site framing. To increase strength and durability, we use 2x10 headers on all window and door openings in the home. Our framing system includes full eight-foot walls and 2x4 exterior walls with OSB sheeting and a house wrap.

Standard Roofing Features

Our roofs use Owens Corning “Duration” architectural shingles. A wide range of colors are available for these Energy Star rated shingles, which are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. As part of the roofing installation, we also include ice guards in valleys and overhangs and shingle over the ridge vents so your roof is better equipped to stand up against any weather.

Optional Upgrades

Though our standard architectural shingles are a great buy, many homeowners choose to upgrade to a metal roof for even greater durability and energy efficiency. Our Design Center and selections team can help you match a quality metal roof with the rest of the house to further enhance your curb appeal.

Whether you’re content with our standard roofing and framing or wish to upgrade to a metal roof, you can have confidence in our excellent craftsmanship. High-quality roofing and framing will ensure that your home is built to stand the test of time.
