Building a custom home can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re not sure what is involved in the process or how long it will take. At Capstone Custom Homes, we strive to provide a transparent and straightforward experience so you can move forward with confidence. Here’s a closer look at what to expect during this process.
Pre-Construction Planning
Pre-construction planning is essential for ensuring that the rest of the work goes smoothly. During this phase, we guide you through important steps such as site selection and inspection (if you don’t already have a property), as well as design meetings where we finalize floor plans and other selections. We’re happy to modify one of our existing floor plans or work with you to create a completely custom build. As these elements are finalized, we’ll also take care of permits and other arrangements.
The Building Phase
Once you sign your contract, we aim to complete your home build in just four months. The dig starts after you get bank approval for your home loan. Our project managers carefully oversee each phase of building, including foundation, framing, mechanicals, and finishing stages to keep everything on budget and on time, without sacrificing quality.
Final Walkthrough and Move-In
After construction is complete, we conduct a thorough walkthrough of your finished home. This is an important opportunity to identify and correct any issues before you move in. Don’t be afraid to speak up if something doesn’t look right! Once any such items have been addressed, you can move in and start enjoying your new home.
A smooth construction timeline starts with a great builder. At Capstone Custom Homes, we’ll work with you every step of the way so you can stay informed and understand the process and your building timeline. Contact us today to get started.
